The refinery’s structural components include the Bitumen Production Unit, Delayed Coking Unit, Coke Calcination Unit, Sulfur Recovery Unit, and Sulfur Granulation Unit. The Complex of Crude Oil Primary Distillation (LK-6U), Complex of Compounding and Oil Product Dispatch, Complex of Crude Oil Advanced Processing (a fuel complex designated as KT-1 for deep processing of fuel oil), and Complex of Heavy Oil Residue Processing comprise several process units. The Central Refinery Laboratory (CRL), a substantial water supply and sewage system, and the Oil Sludge Processing Unit and the Hydrogen Production Unit are the refinery’s two main auxiliary units.

Two new complexes of process units, the Isomerization and Naphtha Splitter unit and the Complex of Sulfur Recovery Units, were constructed and installed at the refinery in December 2022 as a part of the upgrading project. The 12 new U&O buildings were built with the intention of facilitating the routine functioning of recently built and installed service units. Additionally renovated were the Delayed Coking Unit, the Crude Oil Primary Distillation Complex, and the Crude Oil Advanced Processing Complex. It was guaranteed that K-4 motor fuels—diesel and RON-92, 95 gasoline—were produced in accordance with TR CU 013/2021 of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union by adhering to these norms.

In order to facilitate the supply of oil products by rail and road, the corporation has constructed loading and unloading racks, raw feed and commodity tank farms, liquefied gas tank farms, and other offsite facilities. The refinery has a social policy in place and has set the requirements for life, work, and employee health. The refinery’s major priorities right now include upgrading its technology, producing Jet A jet fuel—a first for the plant—and vehicle fuels that satisfy ecological classes K4, K5, in the amounts needed to meet the needs of the country.
